It is with deep sadness to note the talented South African musician Winnie Khumalo, has sadly passed on following a short illness. Khumalo leaves such a rich music and television legacy and is survived by her two children, Rethabile and Thando. She began her music journey at 15 and quickly rose to fame with her hit albums like Hey Laitie and Tshina Tshina. She also supported so many legendary artists before she released her own albums, including the likes of Brenda Fassie. Over the years, she became known for her powerful voice and versatile performances. Winnie also became a household name with her famous album and hit single entitled I Just Wanna Live My Life. In addition to her music career, Khumalo appeared in popular South African TV series such as SABC2's Muvhango and Mponeng, as well as in stage productions and films.
